Steve,

He is listed in the front of the Fortran 77 standard as one of its 
developers and he was present at my first J3 meeting (Jan 81). I think 
he stepped away from J3 at the end of 81, which was when I became an 
alternate for Brian Smith and attended meetings. I am sorry to say, I do 
not remember him.
