Very sad.
I found him very friendly and welcoming when I attended my first standards meeting.

Sad news - my email to Dan had been bouncing for a while, and I had asked various J3 members if they had heard from him recently, but nobody had. When I get details on the tribute, I'll pass them along.

Mr Lionel,
I’m writing in case you were unaware of the passing of my brother, Dan Nagle, who, assuming I’ve not been misinformed, was a long time member of the Fortran Committee and someone you may have known or known of, from his work on that Committee.
Dan died in his home in Longmont CO officially on date Aug 7 2023.
As his brother and executor, I wanted to inform the members of the Committee that I have
planned a Memorial tribute for Dan to be held June the 1st. It physically will be located in Herndon VA not far from where Dan lived for many years in Reston VA. There will be a
Zoom option available for those who wish to participate but would find it difficult to travel.
If you can be of any assistance in sharing this information with other members of the
Committee who worked with or knew Dan, I would be most grateful.
What I am planning for the event is simply a gathering of people who knew Dan
and might be willing to share whatever recollections they feel would be appropriate
from their interactions with him.
If you have no idea what I am talking about, please do let me know so I can know that I have more work to do in reaching the folks I want to reach.
Thank you
Jim Nagle
