Very sad news.  My condolences to his family, friends and all who knew him.

As others have mentioned, Aleks briefly became quite active in generics subgroup discussions and made a number of contributions both in content and in improving our process.   His presence and contributions will be missed.

Dear Steve Lionel,

  I’m writing with the sad news that Aleks Donev passed away last fall.
Aleks was on the Fortran committee for several years, but I’m not sure
exactly when.  Please pass this on to anyone in that group who knew
him.  There will be a memorial for Aleks on April 12 at the Courant
Institute of NYU which anyone who knew Aleks is invited to attend.
