Dan Nagle was interested in setting up an entity through which people
could support gfortran development. Anyone interested in funding
gfortran development through Sourcery Institute or Archaeologic Inc.
can contact me about facilitating it. Both entities have funded
gfortran work on behalf of donors or clients. Donations have come in
from John Swenson on behalf of Tallac Technology, Christopher Dewes on
behalf of Marlette Software, Ron and Janet Green on behalf of The
Fortran Company, and from Vipul Parekh as well as from anonymous
donors. FWIW, my partner and I have also donated to Sourcery
Institute, but I've never taken any compensation from Sourcery
Institute because it didn't seem to make sense to take compensation
from an entity to which I'm donating.
