Hi Van and David
The first question is for David what was the date
Of the talk?
I worked at Imperial College Computer Centre
And ended up supporting Modula 2 on the CDC systems
At the request of the Computer Science department.
Curiously its main use was by Elec Eng MSc students
Doing hardware projects.
It could cross compile for a wide range of hardware
Including 16 and 32 bit processors.
The EE students had the option of projects using the Motorola
68000 processors.
I remember helping some of them out.
Cheers
Ian Chivers

Completely unpretentious.
But not above, in a lecture in Edinburgh on the evolution of programming
languages, mainly to an audience of computer science undergrads and
postgrads, making snide remarks about Fortran every 15 minutes or so,
causing sniggers all round the hall each time.
