Hi Thomas,
"entity" is a posh word for "thing". Unless otherwise qualified, an entity can be anything. That includes types.
No, this is not a technical term. It is plain English. It cannot be nailed down as a technical term.
Cheers,

Subject: [J3] What is an entity?
Hi,
"Entity" is used in several definitions in "Terms and Definitions"
and also in other places, but I didn't find in the standard.
I would assume that "entities" refers to variables, constants and anything else that can hold data, but maybe it is something that could be more clearly defined.
Best regards
Thomas
