If you don't like a feature, and wouldn't use it in your code, don't
use it. Most feaures that exist but are not used would have no effect
on your code. Conditional expressions are almost certainly in that
camp.

During discussion of every standard after 1966, there are people who
have argued not to include a feature because :the language is too
large." Then, in the next paragraph, they complain that their favorite
new feature was not included.
