Even if our European colleagues were all willing to make the sacrifice of staying up even longer, I think it is a bit unfair to spring that on them at such a late date.    Moving my dinner back by 1.5 hours seems a more modest sacrifice.

I’d also say that even a 10 minute break suffices for dinner – so long as we can fix the time of the break.   (And even then, a slightly cold dinner is hardly the sacrifice of staying up until 1:30 AM.
