[J3] Questions about 13.4 "Interaction between input/output list and format"

In the description of format control reversion in 13.4p8, does control
revert to the left parenthesis, or the asterisk? I.e., after reversion,
is it still an unlimited format item?

I think "If format control encounters" at the beginning of 13.4p7,
13.4p8, and 13.4p9 would be clearer as "When format control
encounters".

I think "If format control reverts" at the beginning of 13.5p4 would be
clearer as "When format control reverts".
