I think the bigger issue is that people will not be able to get there.   NASA instituted a similar lockdown just after my return from Vegas.  (And today NASA Ames went to mandatory telework.)

I’m reasonably optimistic that this issue will be over by June and that we’ll all be encouraged to help get the economy moving again.

For now, we should just monitor the situation.

While I greatly prefer an in-person meeting, I would note that the meeting rooms we have reserved at the Cray/HPE offices are Skype/Teams-enabled with speakers, microphones, and large displays. I had not planned to use these, but could contact the IT people to get things set up if needed.

AMD has cancelled all non-essential travel worldwide for the time being.  Corporate VP approval is needed to override the policy, and standards committee meetings are not considered essential. No expected date to lift the restriction.

Skype, Zoom, Bluejeans, and webex all provide similar capabilities, at least for groups up to 20+ people.  I use all of them weekly for various internal and external meetings (OpenMP Lang, OpenMP examples, flang tech calls, flang status calls, ...).  I think you need to be prepared to use one of these (or something similar), and have tested it with a small subset of J3 perhaps, so you can provide detailed instructions for everyone for a variety of HW platforms.  A poll of expected attendees to see if everyone can use Windows might be useful.  And a headset (wired, wireless / bluetooth) is very helpful in reducing feedback and background noise.

Does WG5 pay for a subscription for any of the web meeting platforms?  and can we use it for a whole week?  and can we have subgroup meetings in parallel with the same tool?

situation may have changed by then, but people are making travel plans

For those of you who had planned to attend the Minneapolis meeting, do
you still currently plan to do so? I think ISO has something we could
use for a virtual meeting, but our usual manner of working would be
severely disrupted. Your thoughts and suggestions would be welcomed.
