[J3] next year

I seem to recall that the Spring Hill Suites (across from the convention center) had larger meeting rooms. Is that an option? It is still in the Marriott empire so people could still use their rewards cards and we could still employ Valerie to handle the details. This would probably be my first choice as a new place for the meeting.

If we want to wander outside the Marriott options. other possibilities might include:

1) The Embassy Suites (where Daniel C usually stays). I attended a meeting held there and seem to recall multiple meeting rooms.

2) Does the Hard Rock Hotel (Damian’s place) have the needed meeting rooms?

3) The Westgate, attached to the Convention Center, certainly has meeting rooms.

They probably charge for them, though.

Spring Hill and Embassy Suites both have breakfast. I’m guessing that Hard Rock and Westgate don’t have breakfast included.

At the rate things are going, we might still be Zooming in February, but for October, next year….

Cheers,
Bill

But I agree that in-person attendance in February will be limited, if any. I think we ultimately need to find a larger space, and one that provides breakout rooms for subgroups. INCITS has been insistent that the way we've been doing it, with subgroups meeting in members' rooms. is unacceptable.
