So w.r.t. the Fortran 90 standard, the "gold standard" is the published document. In particular, there was no PDF. If someone sometime somehow could scan a published copy in, that would be useful as a historical document, but apart from personal or committee use, would doubtless be a violation of ISO copyright. ..

This ISO page suggests the document was/is available in electronic form. But since its status is "withdrawn", it's unclear if it's available for purchase any longer (I couldn't figure how to get to "Buy This Standard" option). However is it possible for WG5/Steve to contact ISO and see if an electronic version of ISO/IEC 1539:1991 is present in ISO electronic archives and if yes, the terms under which the document can be made available at least to WG5 for reference purposes?
