Taking the paper discussion out of J3 and moving it to your githib site seems a lot like revolution.
Anton’s point about time zones is well taken. We had a lot of discussion about that when we were having similar planning sessions for the now-cancelled June meeting. The time zone issue is even more dramatic for someone in Japan, which is effectively 12-hours, day / night reversed from the US. I doubt if any of those of us in the US would have been happy about the idea of making the meeting in Tokyo on-line (during daytime hours there).
Another topic that is quite relevant, that came up before, is that it is very hard for people to get away from their “day jobs” if they are at their home location. This is an important reason the Las Vegas meetings are do effective.
