[J3] J3 Meetings: Virtual Attendance and eVoting?

Does anyone know whether virtual attendance and electronic voting on
items and papers is acceptable under the INCITS PL22.3 charter and
governance?

If yes, is this something J3 can consider for future meetings starting
with #219?

Given the T&E cost, especially with international travel, an option to
attend sessions virtually and/or to submit votes electronically can
help retain participation and engagement of members who are
constrained due to lack of any institutional financial support.
Technology-wise such an option should be increasingly viable, quite
economically as well I presume.  Organizationally and procedurally,
one can envision the need to establish certain (strict) rules and
requirements for remote attendees to follow in order to facilitate
healthy and fruitful collaboration with physical attendees but for
which many a template can be drawn upon online for a head start.
