SC22 met this week in Korea. I had submitted to them a request to
withdraw the two TSes; WG5 voted in March to withdraw them (since they
were subsumed by F2018). I called in Sunday night (Monday morning Korea
time) to explain, as some members thought withdrawal of 18508 meant we
were backing away from parallelism! According to email I received this
morning, SC22 unanimously approved the resolution to withdraw the TSes,
so this should be completed soon.

"Resolution 19-05: Withdrawal of ISO/IEC TS 29113:2012, Information
technology — Further interoperability of Fortran with C and ISO/IEC TS
18508:2015, Information technology — Additional Parallel Features in
Fortran
JTC 1/SC 22 requests its Committee Manager to initiate the withdrawal of
ISO/IEC TS 29113:2012 and ISO/IEC TS 18508:2015 as the content of these
Technical Specifications has already been incorporated into ISO/IEC
1539-1:2018, Information technology — Programming languages — Fortran —
Part 1: Base language."

I thought the following was also of interest to us, given Dan's work on
the Fortran annex:

"Resolution 19-07: Further Project Split of ISO/IEC TR 24772,
Information technology — Programming languages — Guidance to avoiding
vulnerabilities in programming languages through language selection and
use: JTC 1/SC 22 resolves to add the following Technical Report projects
to the SC 22 Program of Work as a further subdivision of ISO/IEC TR 24772:
