[J3] For air travel to the J3 meeting in October, you may need a different ID

New Hampshire now offers RealID licenses, and does notify people
renewing about the option. My wife renewed last year and wasn't going to
get the RealID version, as she was concerned (rightfully so) about so
much information being in yet another government database, but the clerk
at the DMV told her (incorrectly) that she could not renew Global Entry
without it, so she gave in. (Global Entry cards are valid ID for flying
and one isn't even asked for a drivers license when renewing.)

Massachusetts, on the other hand, said nothing in recent renewal
letters, encouraging people to renew online without telling them that if
they wanted a RealID license they needed to renew in person. There was a
big kerfluffle about people having to pay again to get a RealID license
so that they could fly. I never heard what the resolution of this was.
