[J3] For air travel to the J3 meeting in October, you may need a different ID

Most of you have heard of "RealID", where a US drivers license needs
additional features to become acceptable for air travel. If you have a
license from a state that has been granted an extension, and don't yet
have a RealID-compliant license (me and me), note that the current round
of extensions expire October 10, 2018, just before the next J3 meeting.
There are a number of other IDs that are acceptable, including US
passports and passport cards, Global Entry cards, etc. See
https://www.dhs.gov/real-id to see where your state is at in this
process. If your state's extension will expire, you'll need to bring a
compliant ID.

It's entirely possible, of course, that the extensions will be extended
again. I had thought I was good until October 2020 (by which time I
would have renewed my license with a compliant one), so it was a bit of
a shock to see that wasn't the case.
