The WG5 social event will happen at 6:30 PM, Wednesday, June 13, at the
Lake Chalet Seafood Bar & Grill in the historic boat house on Lake Merritt
in Oakland.

Based on the survey feedback and discussions with the venue, I have
arranged a menu that highlights California's great Mexican-inspired cuisine
with a range of choices (seafood, meat, vegetarian, and gluten-free
options) and with lower costs relative to my previously communicated
estimate.

Sourcery Institute is covering the space fee ($100 + tax) for the
semi-private space we will use. Your payments will reimburse Sourcery
Institute for the food, service, and tax.   In the interest of
transparency, the contract is attached (the contract shows 6:00 PM, but I'm
updating the time to 6:30 PM based on survey responses).

The range of menu options considered are at http://bit.ly/2sHXv9V.  If
there's a strong revolt or drop in attendance relative to the survey
responses, other menu options are available but would have to be arranged
by tomorrow (Wednesday) U.S. Pacific time.

Lastly, an additional bonus of this venue is that it is co-located with a
gondola service so you might consider planning a ride around the lake:
