Not a new feature (proposal), but an old (with a small discussion of use

Surely adding this to the Standard would have prevented weeks of heated 
discussions on the GNU Fortran mailing list the past few weeks ...

I loved it ! Unfortunately, I was in the minority when this was decided 
in February 2013 ...
