(j3.2006) num_images() ?

The text in 16-007r2 has a serious error. num_images() returns the number of images in the CURRENT team, not the initial team (unless the current team is the initial team). The value is unaffected by whether some of the images are stopped or failed.

Some early TS drafts (N2007, for example) had an argument to single out the number of failed images. Instead we now can compute the number of failed images as SIZE(FAILED_IMAGES()).

Cheers,
Bill
