Stan and Steve,

We are all going to miss you both.

Stan has made an enormous contribution, particularly in the days when 
the committee was far more contentious than it is nowadays. He was 
always good for saying sensible things with unmistakable emphasis. And 
he quietly got on with taking the minutes and organizing the 

Steve has not been to so many meetings, but has made a big contribution 
to all of them - always cheerful and willing to do whatever was asked of
