Looking at the hotel web site it certainly seems breakfast is not usually
included. They have Wi-Fi, but I saw no statement as to whether it was
free.
More importantly, what is the code to enter to get the group rate (and is it
a Group Code or a Promo Code?). I tried "Fortran WG5" and also the contract
code, but neither was accepted.
On the issue of meeting start time, 8am seems unnecessarily harsh. 8:30
would probably allow enough time for breakfast at ML, assuming they are
efficient.
Cheers,

pdf says:
We should leave around 0730 if you take breakfast at the hotel. If you
prefer to eat at ML (hot or cold breakfast is served in the cafeteria after
0730), we should leave the hotel around 0700.
which raises questions:
1) Is breakfast not included at the hotel? I?m used to free breakfast
(assumed in budget) and free WiFi (essential at a WG5 meeting) in the hotel.
Are we sure that will be the case? If so, would eating at ML make sense?
2) If the ML cafeteria does not open until 7:30, eating there would not seem
practical anyway, if we start at 8. You would have maybe 10 minutes to get
in and out of the breakfast before setting up in the meeting room to be
ready to start.
I still prefer starting a 9. If there is a great need for an extra hour, it
is a lot more convenient to add it to the end of the day.
Cheers,
Bill
