So far, I have determined that the available conference rooms in the meeting venue are of sufficient size for a WG5 meeting. Next I?ll start looking at prices for the meeting rooms and hotel rooms. I can plan to present my findings in London if that?s soon enough. If the venues I?m imagining using turn out to be economical enough, then planning this will be very easy for me and I?ll formally volunteer to host.
Hi Damian.
Thanks for all your efforts.
Certainly London is soon enough for a report/proposal.
Another hotel consideration might be proximity to BART so that transportation to/from the airport is easy. Unless the hotel has a shuttle like the Fairfield Inn in Las Vegas, of course.
Cheers,
Bill

For the newbies, the reunion is for past members of the committee to get together with each other and the current members, and is nice to combine with a celebration of the publication of a new standard. 2018 should (hopefully) be a safe date for F2015 publication being done. Besides the attraction of NERSC, a lot of the J3/WG5 alumni live in or near California, so we could expect a good turnout. (And, the bay area has good airline connections and hotel options - practical considerations for an international meeting.)

I assume hosting involves options and rates for accommodations, meeting venues, and social events. I am glad to do this if it is decided that the San Francisco Bay Area is the choice. I can also post meeting information on the Sourcery web site if that?s of interest.
