For example, this sentence in 4.8p6:
If an ac-value is an ac-implied-do, it is expanded to form a sequence of elements under the control of the ac-do-variable, as in the DO construct (8.1.6.4).
Or 9.6.3p7:
For an io-implied-do, the loop initialization and execution are the same as for a DO construct (8.1.6.4).
