It is not inadequate, and indeed might be thought superior to the overly (and
unnecessarily) complicated suggested replacement.
(Noting that one cannot in any case associate variables of derived type with
different length type parameter values, let alone kind type parameter values, so
this is talking about intrinsic types. No ambiguity or unclarity at all.)
Maybe "same type with with different kind type parameter values" would be even
better.
