I doubt if these ever the dates to begin with.  It does not match the usual formula (week after the second Saturday), which would have the meeting June 13-17.   Additionally, Makki usually prefers to have WG5 meetings later - end of June/beginning of July - because of his University duties.  That would put the meeting June 27 - July 1.   So it might be interesting to get rates for

June 12 - 17

June 26 - July 1

although I suspect they will be the same.

Alternative might be Homewood Suites  (a Hilton brand, so Daniel might be able to stay there as well?)   Although I looked up June, 2015 on their web site (they don?t take 2016 reservations yet) and see the same $199/night price.   The Hampton Inn is $259. Rates for the first week in August were the same.   It might be that hotels are just expensive in Boulder.   Unlike Las Vegas, I suspect there is not much competition.
