Subject: (j3.2006) (SC22WG5.5278) Group dinner Wednesday
I've been investigating options for a group dinner on Wednesday. I looked at Roy's (top rated on Yelp and TripAdvisor) and Battista's (suggested by others). Both are "moderately priced" for Vegas, but that doesn't mean cheap. If all of us go, the restaurants want to treat us as a large group which means a limited menu and fixed price. If only some want to go, we can probably order off the regular menu. Pricing I have been given lies somewhere between what we paid in Delft and what we paid in Markham (Toronto) - $85-$100 per person including tax, gratuity and some alcohol. I've attached the options from Roy's. The choices that seem best to me are the "Plumeria" menu, which is $62.95 plus tax, gratuity and alcohol, and the "Aloha" which has similar choices but includes two alcohol servings (wine, house cocktails, bottled beer), tax and gratuity for $100. I was told that we could get separate checks/payment, which is not always the case for larger groups. I looked at the regular menu prices at both Roy's and Battista's and pricing is very similar. I know we tend to order a lot of bottled wine, and if we go that route we'd not want the all-inclusive pricing. Keep in mind that tax and gratuity alone is 25%.
How many would be likely to attend this?
Steve
