The purpose of preventing the passed-object dummy from having the VALUE 
attribute.

In the model where invoking a tbp is sending a message to the (passed) 
object (dummy), it makes no sense for it to send the message to an ephemeral 
copy of the object.

In some other conceptual models, this would just be a useless and 
potentially harmful frill.
