Thanks for your comment. I do not think there is a problem - the "process" is null and the result is equal to SOURCE. 

There is an updated version in 12-201, but I don't think there is any change that would affect your query.

a question arose when looking at
   7.3.9 CO_REDUCE (SOURCE, OPERATOR [, RESULT, RESULT_IMAGE])
at http://j3-fortran.org/doc/year/12/12-178r5.txt

Namely, what happens if num_images() == 1? I have to admit that this is
rather boring special case, but I believe it should be still addressed
in some way.
