I won't know until some time after the beginning of the Federal
Government's fiscal year, which begins October 1. That also applies to
whether I'll get my annual INCITS fee paid. My boss has money for me to
go to the October meeting, in case two weeks is too quick for the
bureaucracy to decide whether I get directed funding for Fortran
standards activities. Beyond that, his management is still blaming the
sequester, even though we have more money this year than last, and look
to have more money next year than this.

Jennifer's letter suggests that INCITS might look badly upon is if we
don't have an IR by the September INCITS board meeting.

I think that's true.

You'd need to ask INCITS.

So far, I've only had to go to one in person. The other times I did it
over the phone with Deborah Donovan, viewing a PDF (or was it PPS) at
the same time. Took about an hour. IIRC, it happens every three years.
