Please answer the following question "Are N1941 and N1942 ready for
forwarding to SC22" in one of these ways.
1) Yes.
2) Yes, but I recommend the following changes.
3) No, for the following reasons.
4) Abstain.
I vote 1) Yes.
I was, at first, confused by Comment 2. I had assumed that
the only storage that should be accessed via the information
provided in a C descriptor is storage described by the C
descriptor. I failed to find an explicit statement to that
effect in the draft TS. Based on the response in N1941, I
now assume that, except for the case prohibited by the new
restriction given in the response, C code is free to access
any storage via information provided in a C descriptor
subject only to the restrictions imposed by the C99
standard.
