While I cannot recall an explicit discussion, to me it seems perfectly 
reasonable that this is disallowed. It only applies when the actual is a 
coarray, meaning, new codes. Surely it is not hard to use x(10:) instead?\
That said, it looks like an oversight to me, in the sense that I believe 
had there been a discussion sequence association would have been allowed.
