Kudos to the Portland Group! By the way, his slides are available at

Given that also other vendors come closer to having all Fortran 2003 
features implemented and (well) tested by early-adopting users, it seems 
that one can really start using all of Fortran 2003. (Especially since 
some vendors already have Fortran 2003 compilers, though some bugs only 
are found when the number of users grows.)
