(j3.2006) Interval arithmetic

Just a word in praise of hair splitting ... sounds crazy, no, but somebody should

rise to its defense.

 

Fortran technical terms have to be used absolutely correctly in the standard.  

 

Yeah, I hate it too when being super precise makes every post harder to write.

But if it helps keep sloppiness out of the standard I'm all for it.
