"deprecated" is not the right word - it implies that the features are 
still in the standard (the deleted ones are not) and that we are just 
disparaging them.

It's also slightly confusing to those of us with long memories...

I agree that "decremental" doesn't say much - therein lies its charm.  
Bill's second suggestion of "Deleted and obsolescent features", using 
the exact same wording we use at [25:39] strikes me as reasonable.  And 
maybe we should rewrite the sentences around 25:43 to avoid "outmoded 
features" too.

This doesn't need a whole paper on its own, I can put it into one of my 
editorial change papers...
