(j3.2006) Marriot group code?

I had this happen to me for an earlier meeting.  In that case, the group 
code was only "active" for Sunday night - Thursday night, and I had 
tried to stay Friday night was well.  Coming a day early would have 
triggered the same issue.  I was able to get the reservation by phone. 
Mentioning Valerie's name helped.
