Well, I've spent more time than I intended here and I suspect
there's no point anyway.  I've not seen substantial changes *after*
a public review since f8x.  I don't expect any now.  However I will
add:

This is one of hte most destructive phrases in all of language design.
Especially in a language that already very complex and arcane, an 
adequate reason no to allow something is lack of a *very* well
documented need for the feature.  Practically universal acclaim
should be needed.
