Well, Jim, I don't know if it makes sense to put DFP into Fortran 2008.
Is IBM putting DFP support into xlf? If so, what does it look like and
how does it play with the rest of the data types?

One thing comes to my mind right now is decimal floating point
arithmetic. Does it make sense for FORTRAN to have DFP in F2008?
