This is a reminder that the Emerald Suites shuttle isn't in general
service 24 hours per day any more.  Our contract says we get shuttle
service, but one has to arrange it in advance.  Here's the extract
concerning transportation from the meeting notice:



Transportation:  The hotel has a free 24 hour van shuttle service for
     the J3 Fortran Committee.  If you wish to use the van service from
     the airport to the hotel, please notify Valerie Troisi in advance
     of your expected arrival time.  Then call the hotel at (702)
     948-9999 when you arrive and tell them your name and location, and
     identify yourself as part of the Fortran Committee and request a
     shuttle pick-up.  If you request van service in advance but it is
     not available when you arrive, ask Valerie Troisi for a refund of
     the fare during the meeting.  Other transportation to and from the
     airport is via airport shuttle companies, bus and limousine
     companies, taxi, or rental car.  Fares vary from $3.50 to $21.00.

Hotel and nearby amenities:

  1. The hotel provides van transportation to/from the hotel to/from
     anywhere in town for members of the Fortran group and their
     families or guests staying in the reserved block, but it needs
     to be arranged in advance.
